How important it is then to choose those possibilities which resonate with my innermost core, which are revealed to me by dreams or by intuitive promptings and accompanied by that rare but unmistakable certainty which withstands all questioning. And if those visions manifest and prove faulty, perhaps that too is part of the pattern and the incomplete drama of one scene will be resolved in the next scene on another tapestry - Tracy Marks
On 14 December 2014, at 12:12pm Bottle 112, Archangel Israfel, Turquoise/Mid-Tone Royal Blue, came into the light. If we had scanned the skies on the Eastern horizon at that moment we might have seen the cluster of stars and space that marked the ascendant in the chart of this bottle at 19° 36′ Pisces. The Pisces way of Living in the Material World, the name of Bottle 19, Red/Purple, is to move towards spiritual awakening, to move beyond the illusion of duality into a unified state of awareness where everything is connected and everything is divine. Pisces is who we are without the ego’s judgement and fears; Pisces is universal heart and can hold it all: the good, the bad and the seemingly indefensible.
The Moon at 22° 7′ Virgo (the sign opposite Pisces) is indicative of the support this bottle could offer in creating a bridge between our spirituality and our physical reality, between our soul (Pisces) and body (Virgo); we may be guided to find ways in which we can express our compassion and idealism concretely in our every day tasks and interactions. We become more able to use our inherent creativity to appreciate previously unrecognised possibilities for growth, fulfilment and service in our daily routines. The discerning Virgoan energy involves affirming our separateness whereas Piscean compassion underlines our openness and our oneness. The integration of this polarity enables us to become more comfortable with our individuation process as part of service to the Greater Whole. It becomes easier to find a practical balance between being open and closed, part of the one and part of the many.
So it is with Israfel. Within the upper fraction as we consciously touch that turquoise process of individuation, the process which is the creative communication of our hearts, we are also in a position to be able to touch what is within our Golden Star, the true self communicating through us so that we become the Way as the Logos within ourselves is reactivated within us Mike Booth
With the Sun at 22° 24′ Sagittarius, Jupiter gains prominence, not only as the ruler of Sagittarius, but also in a flowing trine to the Sun at 22° 34′ Leo - and so brings its spiritual vision into our consciousness further enabling us to intuitively discern our place in the Greater Whole. Bottle 22, The Rebirther’s Bottle, Awakening, Yellow/Pink seems to have a core connection with Israfel and via a renewal of spirit through joy and self-acceptance we are awakened to the deeper levels of the star within us (keynote for this bottle that shakes up as a soft gold).
Israfel was born during a Last Quarter Moon. Like at the First Quarter there is great intensity created by the forces of dark and light, the difference is that the challenges are experienced within. We now need to apply our experience of bringing our project (whatever that may be) to fruition and teach others how to do the same. As we gain a deeper understanding of our inner drives, conflicts and fears we gain clarity at the sense doors and we may just be able to surrender into an inner peace that passeth all understanding. The heroic masculine effort to break free at first quarter has become an equally heroic feminine yielding as the darkness reaches ascendancy over the light.
Israfel is also known as a trumpet blower and the chart certainly underscores this: Mercury, The Messenger of the Gods, at 25° 48′ Sagittarius, is the highest planet in the chart and lies one degree behind the Midheaven, one of the four important angles (or is it
angels?) in the chart. The close configuration of the Sun, Mercury and the Midheaven lies within 1° from the Galactic Centre (27° Sagittarius). At the Galactic Centre lies a massive black hole that absorbs and bombards our earth and all living creatures with massive amounts of microwave, infrared and gamma waves. Celestial bodies lining up with the Galactic Midpoint funnel these emissions and provide tremendous energetic support for releasing outworn patterns and belief systems; our evolution is stimulated.
Between June 2012 and April 2015 Uranus in Aries squares Pluto in Capricorn seven times; the sixth of these squares is on the birth date of Israfel. It is important to note that the Lunar Nodes are closely involved in this square at 16° 49′ Libra-Aries and intensifies the soul message of Israfel. A square indicates tension between two conflicting ways of being, creating frustration that can only be resolved by action. Encapsulated in the Turquoise/Mid-Tone Royal Blue combination of Israfel is a creative acceptance that this frustration is a source of motivation to achieve or to express oneself in a more truthful yet compassionate manner. There are a myriad of ways in which to interpret this transformational square; my experience has been that our sense of time and space is shifting radically. We are being drawn into realms where nothing is stationary, solid or separate; it becomes easier every day to transcend limited, three-dimensional perception. Time is truly becoming an art in which it is not experienced as a one-way linear process but as perpetual NOW, and completely dependent on our focus and level of consciousness. On the colour rose, Capricorn is represented by royal blue, in Aura-Soma the colour of
clarity at the sense doors - one interpretation being that we apply all our senses to become anchored in the present moment so that
All that is hidden becomes clear. (Part of the Keynote for the all-royal blue bottle, Archangel Raphael, Bottle 96)
A few Sabian Symbols to meditate on (as quoted from An Astrological Mandala by Dane Rudhyar)
Lunar North Node (16° 49′ Libra): A retired sea captain watches ships entering and leaving the harbour: The capacity to gain an objective and calm understanding of human experiences in which was once deeply involved. The CALM MIND beyond struggles and victories
Ascendant (19° 36′ Pisces): A table set for an evening meal: An indication that in the end and at the appointed time the individual’s needs will be met among those to whom he is linked by a spiritual web of energies. The Soul-consciousness finds NOURISHMENT
Midheaven (26° 18′ Sagittarius): A sculptor at his work: The ability to project one’s vision upon and to give form to materials. A symbol of SELF-PROJECTION into a work.
Sun (22° 24′ Sagittarius): A group of immigrants as they fulfil the requirements of entrance into the new country: Consciously accepting the ways of a new stage of experience, in readiness for the opportunities it will present. We find ourselves in a period of TRANSITION.
Mercury (25° 48′ Sagittarius): A flag bearer in a battle: The nobly accepted subservience of the individual to collective values and goals. This is a symbol of CONSECRATION TO AN IDEAL.
Jupiter (22° 34′ Leo): In a circus the bareback rider displays her dangerous skill: The audacity and perseverance required to control and play with the powerful energies of the vital realm in human existence. The key word is VIRTUOSITY
Uranus (12° 35′ Aries): An unexploded bomb reveals an unsuccessful social protest: An immature evaluation of the possibility of transforming suddenly the status quo. A symbol of youthful FRUSTRATION
Pluto (12° 33′ Capricorn): A fire worshipper meditates on the ultimate realities of existence: The subjective quest for ultimates beyond the interplay of life and death processes. Are we ready to demonstrate OUR WILL TO TRANSCENDENCE?
With Love, as ever,
