Aura-Soma Practitioners and Colour Care Consultants
Certification There is an Aura-Soma Code of Practice that is regulated by the Art & Science International Academy of Colour Technologies (AS I ACT). The Academy maintains the Aura-Soma Practitioner and Aura-Soma Colour Care Consultant Register and issues Registration Certificates to those who work according to this code. Each Certificate is can be valid for up to two years (depending on renewal hours) and only those Aura-Soma Practitioners or Aura-Soma Colour Care Consultants with a current Certificate are featured on the Register. A current Aura-Soma Practising Certificate shows that the Practitioner is near to the beginning of their training, and is continuing to be updated in the Aura-Soma colour system. They have signed the Practitioner Agreement and they are working in accordance with the terms and conditions set out by the Academy. A current Aura-Soma Colour Care Consultant Certificate shows that the Colour Care Consultant has completed their basic training, and is continuing to be updated in the Aura-Soma colour system. They have signed the Colour Care Consultant Agreement and they are working in accordance with the terms and conditions set out by the Academy. Training The Aura-Soma Colour Care Consultant training comprises 5 basic levels. Levels 1, 2, Personal Presentation Skills and 3 each involve attendance at a certified course, Level 4 involves the completion of a home study unit. Each level involves broader and more detailed instruction in the Aura-Soma Colour System. A student can only describe themselves as an Aura-Soma Practitioner or an Aura-Soma Colour Care Consultant if they have undertaken sufficient renewal hours, completed their Practitioner or Colour Care Consultant Registration Agreement and have their current Certificate displayed at their place of practise. Upon completion of the Aura-Soma Level 2 course (and the Personal Presentation Skills course for all new students from 01.01.2009), students may become an Aura-Soma Registered Practitioner. The guidelines are as follows. Since the Aura-Soma Registered Practitioner is still near to the beginning of the training, it is suggested that they develop their practise with the public in a gradual way. After completion of Level 3 the Registered Practitioner may work increasingly with the public, their practise benefiting from their growing Consultation experience, skills and knowledge. After receipt of the Level 4 Certificate, the Practitioner can register with the Academy as a Colour Care Consultant. They have demonstrated much more experience of working with the Aura-Soma Colour System and may develop a full public practice. In registering with the Academy all Practitioners and Colour Care Consultants agree to abide by the rules, including the requirement to follow the Renewal Process.
